Dinner #21 prizes to win

Hi ladies!

I hear Code Fellows will be giving away prizes tonight … so go win some goodies and have a great time! I won’t be able to be there tonight, but Nathalie Steinmetz will kick things off for us. Enjoy!
And, thank you Nathalie for all of your help. You rock!

Dinner #21 on August 20, 2013

Hello Seattle Girl Geeks!

I hope everyone is having a great summer. I am happy to announce that Codefellows is our sponsor for the next Girl Geek event!

Codefellows offers world class coding boot camps in Seattle. They just kicked off their Womens Only Codefellow Bootcamp series, and thought it would be the perfect time to host a SGGD event to celebrate this new program. There will be drinks, appetizers and the opportunity to meet some of the students who participated in Seattle’s very first Women’s Only Ruby on Rails Bootcamp.

Upcoming Summer and Fall Events

Hi all! Two quick updates for you:

I am super excited to announce the line up for upcoming events starting in August through the fall!

August – Code Fellows
September – Expedia
October – Concur
October – Microsoft

Please stay tuned for details regarding each SGGD event. Coming soon …

Second, it’s SGGD’s 5th anniversary! We had our first event on June 28, 2008. Microsoft Research sponsored our first dinner. It goes without saying, a BIG thank you to Microsoft and my manager (at the time) for the funding and believing in our mission as a community.
