What’s Classroom? The Google Classroom Series is a project designed to expose underrepresented groups of engineers to Google’s technology, development, and engineering principles through workshops and hands-on tutorials. For this Classroom, Google is excited to partner with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Region Six Professionals and Seattle Girl Geek Dinners.

Dart. What? At Google we create some of the world’s largest, most complex, and rapidly changing web apps. Dart helps developers productively build high-performance apps for the modern web. Developed with the goals of simplicity, efficiency, and scalability, the Dart language combines powerful new features with familiar language constructs into a clear, readable syntax. But, Dart’s not just a language. The Dart open-source project also includes libraries, a package manager and tools such as a full featured editor.

During Night 1 of this Classroom, Google engineers will walk through Dart’s powerful new features and shine light on where we’re looking to go. RSVP only required.

Participants of Night 2 of the Classroom, will be walked through a Code Lab initially run at Google I/O. You’ll get hands-on experience and build declarative, modern mobile web apps with Dart and Web Components. Go from zero to magnificent! We want attendees to have fun as well as leave empowered and armed with new skills! RSVP and application required.

We hope you’ll join us! Dart Classroom is open to all qualified engineers with a passion for coding. We encourage you to RSVP and/or apply now as seats are sure to go fast.

RSVP for night 1 and/or apply for night 2 by Friday, June 28th. Applicants for night 2 will be notified of their application status by Wednesday, July 3rd.
