Hello SGGD Community!

In today’s working world, your professional online brand is key. Join us for an evening dedicated to learning how to create a great LinkedIn profile and different ways you can boost your professional brand.

This is a non company sponsored event, so please BYOF (food), your laptop, and be ready to learn, contribute great ideas, and have fun.

530pm – 6pm – check-in/networking
6pm – 7:30pm – LinkedIn profile/brand presentation
7:30pm-8pm – Q&A/networking

Directions
UBS is diagonally across the street from Seattle Public Library on 4th ave; there is a Bartell Drugs across the street. Close to public transportation.
Garage in building – enter on Madison taking a left on 4th ave or on Marion taking a left on 3rd ave.
Take elevator up to 4th floor lobby. Exit elevator and turn left. Walk in corridor and enter glass doors on right.
Or street level paid parking is available on Madison – this is closer to building entrance on 4th ave. If you enter building on 4th ave entrance, keep to left of elevator bank and the conference room will be through glass doors on your left.

If you enter on 3rd ave, take 2 flights of escalators to 4th floor lobby, turn right and cut through elevator bank and you will see glass doors that will bring you to the conference room.
We will put up a sign to help you find the conference room!

Happy New Year Seattle Girl Geeks!

Please join @TwitterSeattle for a dinner, drinks, and a look at the different career paths in tech!

We’ll kick the evening off with a talk from one of Seattle’s software engineers, Seda Unal Calargun, about the history of women in computing and her own story . Following that, we’ll participate in a Lean In activity where we’ll get to know each other and share our experiences. Lastly, we’ll hear from a great lineup of @TwitterSeattle panelists who are excited to share their experiences and personal journeys: how they got here and why they love their current positions.
Come prepared with questions – we’ll open it up to the floor at the end for Q&A. We hope you finish the night with some new friends, knowledge and ideas!

Directions:
The @TwitterSeattle office is located at 1501 4th Ave, the Century Square building. Enter from 4th Ave and go straight up the escalators to the 3rd floor lobby (elevators are located past the escalators on the right). Some Seattle Tweeps will be waiting to greet you and send you up to our office!
